Guide

Good conversations here follow the same rules as good conversations anywhere: give some context, ask real questions, and let the other side steer occasionally. This guide covers what works.

1. Choose by mood, not by looks

Read the role line on each card. A morning planner and a playful storyteller will take the same sentence in completely different directions.

2. Open with a detail

Instead of hello, try the one thing on your mind. A specific opening line produces a specific reply, and the conversation starts two steps ahead.

3. Set the tone early

Say whether you want to vent, plan, joke or be distracted. Characters adjust their pace when you tell them what the hour needs.

4. Use continuity

Refer back to earlier conversations. With memory enabled a character will pick up running jokes, names and plans without being reminded of everything.

5. Try story mode

Describe a place and a situation, then let the scene run. Most people find improvised stories easier than open-ended chat when they are tired.

6. Take breaks

Nothing expires. A conversation you leave on Tuesday reads perfectly well when you come back to it on Sunday.

7. Keep it yours

Share only what you are comfortable storing. The privacy policy on this site explains what is kept and how to have it removed.

Someone is already waiting to talk

Pick a character, say the first thing that comes to mind, and see where the conversation goes.
